Frequently Asked Questions

How Can We Help?

Everything you need to know about CogniTwin and how it transforms your JEE preparation.

About CogniTwin

What is CogniTwin?
CogniTwin is an adaptive AI mentor designed specifically for JEE Main & Advanced preparation. It builds a unique learning profile for each student and delivers hyper-personalized practice sessions, so you spend time where it matters most.
How is CogniTwin different from other JEE platforms?
Most platforms give every student the same question set. CogniTwin adapts in real-time — it understands your strengths, weaknesses, and thinking patterns to serve questions at exactly the right difficulty. Think of it as having a personal mentor who knows exactly where you struggle and how to fix it.
Is CogniTwin a replacement for coaching classes?
CogniTwin is designed to complement your preparation, not replace it. It supercharges your practice sessions by ensuring every question you solve is maximally effective for your learning.

Calibration & Learning

What is "Calibrating Your Brain"?
When you start, CogniTwin gives you a set of carefully selected questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Your responses help the system build your cognitive profile — understanding not just what you know, but how you think and where your patterns are.
How many questions do I need to answer for calibration?
About 30 questions across subjects. This gives the system enough data to build an accurate initial profile. The more you practice after calibration, the more accurate your profile becomes.
What is Twin Accuracy?
Twin Accuracy shows how well CogniTwin understands your learning patterns. It starts building during calibration and keeps improving as you practice. A higher Twin Accuracy means more precisely targeted questions for you.

Practice & Questions

What subjects are covered?
CogniTwin covers all three JEE subjects — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics — with questions mapped to specific chapters, concepts, and difficulty levels matching JEE Main and Advanced patterns.
Where do the questions come from?
Our question bank includes curated Previous Year Questions (PYQs) from JEE Main and Advanced, along with original questions designed to match JEE patterns and difficulty levels.
How does difficulty adaptation work?
CogniTwin continuously adjusts question difficulty based on your performance. Get a question right? The next one might be slightly harder. Struggle with a concept? You will get targeted practice at a level where you can build confidence before moving up.

Performance & Analytics

How does CogniTwin track my progress?
Every question you attempt feeds into your learning profile. CogniTwin tracks accuracy, speed, concept mastery, common mistake patterns, and improvement trends — giving you a detailed picture of your preparation.
Can I see which topics I am weak in?
Yes! Your dashboard shows subject-wise and topic-wise breakdowns, highlighting areas that need attention. The system also automatically prioritizes these weak areas in your practice sessions.

Privacy & Security

Is my data safe?
Absolutely. Your learning data is encrypted and stored securely. We never share individual student data with third parties. Your cognitive profile is used solely to improve your learning experience.
Can other students see my performance?
No. Your detailed performance data is private. The leaderboard only shows anonymized rankings — no one can see your specific strengths or weaknesses.

Rough Work & Thinking Analysis

How does rough work analysis work?
During practice, you can open a canvas and write or draw your solution steps — just like you would on paper. CogniTwin reads your rough work, identifies exactly where your approach went wrong, and gives you step-by-step feedback. It's not just checking the final answer — it's analyzing your thinking process.
Do I need a tablet or stylus for rough work?
A tablet with stylus gives the best experience, but you can also use a mouse or trackpad on any device. The canvas supports drawing, erasing, and undo — it works like a digital rough sheet.
What kind of feedback do I get on my rough work?
CogniTwin identifies your error type (sign error, conceptual gap, calculation mistake, etc.), tells you the exact step where things went wrong, and explains the correct approach. Over time, it tracks patterns in your errors to help you eliminate recurring mistakes.

Thinking Evolution & Cognitive Reports

What is the Thinking Evolution Report?
After you've submitted enough rough work, CogniTwin generates a Cognitive Time-Lapse — a report that compares your problem-solving approach from your early sessions to now. It shows which weaknesses you've fixed, what new patterns are emerging, and how your thinking quality changes under pressure.
What is the Anxiety Gradient?
The Anxiety Gradient measures how your thinking quality degrades under pressure. CogniTwin finds your cognitive breaking point — the moment when hard problems start affecting your handwriting, logic, and accuracy — and tracks whether you're pushing that point further back over time.
What are the IIT Zonal Readiness scores?
Each IIT zone sets JEE Advanced in a different style. Your Zonal Readiness score tells you how prepared you are for each style — Kharagpur's marathon calculations, Kanpur's abstract reasoning, Madras's cross-chapter fusions, Bombay's traps, and Guwahati's unpredictable formats.
How often is the Thinking Evolution Report generated?
The report is generated automatically after every few wrong attempts where you've submitted rough work. The more you use the rough work canvas, the richer and more accurate your evolution report becomes.

Exam Readiness & Pattern Intelligence

How does CogniTwin know what kind of questions will appear in the exam?
CogniTwin studies 15+ years of JEE Main and Advanced papers — tracking which chapters get combined, which IIT zone sets which style, and how question patterns evolve year over year. This exam-pattern intelligence ensures the questions you practice are trend-matched to your target exam year.
What is the Brain-Paper Fit score?
It measures how well your current thinking style matches what the actual exam demands. A high Brain-Paper Fit means your approach to problem-solving aligns with the exam's expectations — not just your knowledge, but HOW you apply it under pressure.
What is Chapter Fusion mapping?
JEE Advanced frequently combines concepts from unexpected chapters — like Electrostatics with Fluids, or Rotation with Thermodynamics. CogniTwin tracks every cross-chapter combination across 15 years of papers and trains you on the fusions most likely to appear next.
Can I set my target exam year?
Yes! During onboarding, you select your target exam session (e.g., JEE 2027, 2028, etc.). CogniTwin tailors its pattern intelligence and readiness scores specifically to your target year. You can update this anytime from your profile settings.
